12th Annual CCPBioSim Annual Conference: Frontiers in Biomolecular Simulations
From Monday 06 July 2026 -  12:00
To Wednesday 08 July 2026 - 14:00

The annual CCPBioSim Conference will be held at the University of Bristol, 6-8 July 2026.

This year’s CCPBioSim annual conference has the theme: Biomolecular simulation across scales, for understanding and design. We aim to explore the cutting edge of biomolecular simulations and associated methods, and their real-world impacts, including on engineering biology. Biomolecular modelling has an ever-increasing role in the detailed understanding of biological mechanisms, and the creation of new therapies, including small-molecule drugs, antibodies and peptides. Simulation is also widely used to help interpret experimental data. Machine learning and artificial intelligence are now frequently used in analysing simulation data, improving the accuracy and efficiency of potentials used in simulation, and designing novel biomolecules. This conference will showcase the latest advances in these broad areas, and how they are impacting research in academia and industry.

We invite abstracts for posters and talks in the area of biomolecular simulation and modelling. Topics of interest include:
•    Modelling and simulation for biomolecular design
•    New methods: What new approaches have enabled faster and/or more accurate simulations of biomolecular systems?
•    Artificial intelligence: How is the combination of machine learning and artificial intelligence with biomolecular simulation advancing our knowledge of biological systems?
•    Simulation across scales: How do (combinations of) simulation methods result in new biological understanding?
•    Interplay with experiment: combining experimental and computational methods for biomolecular dynamics (with CCPN)

We look forward to seeing you all in Bristol!

Contributed oral and poster presentations

We invite all participants to submit an abstract for oral and/or poster contributions. Details and an abstract template will be provided upon registration, once opened.

There are a number of contributed talk slots available, and posters will be on display during the whole conference, with poster sessions taking place on both evenings. Instructions for submitting abstracts will be included in the confirmation email at the point of registration. All selected contributing speakers will be notified in advance.
The organising team is committed to diversity and inclusivity. Individuals belonging to underrepresented and marginalised groups in STEM/software development are particularly encouraged to apply.*
*Women, non-binary, LGBTQIA+ individuals, people from Black, Asian and minority ethnic communities or Traveller communities
